CarPriceExpert is a new & used car price tracking website with daily price tracking, having tracked over 10 million car adverts since 2020. Created out of my passion for cars and a keen eye for future collectibles, the site aims to empower buyers with comprehensive price insights and trends.

CarPriceExpert boasts a PostgreSQL database with over 600 million records of data for thousands of makes and models of cars across 10+ million adverts. Utilizing my expertise in database management and data analysis, I have meticulously structured and optimized the database to ensure fast, accurate, and valuable insights for users.
Data Collection
Data is diligently collected and processed using advanced Python scripting, leveraging a robust selection of data handling and web interaction libraries such as Beautifulsoup, Pandas, psycopg2, and cloudscraper. My proficiency in Python and these libraries has enabled me to design efficient and scalable data collection systems, ensuring high-quality and up-to-date information feeds into the database.

My car price tracking platform offers dynamic insights into daily car price movements, from broad trends across makes and models down to granular details of individual cars and adverts. It features calculations of minimum, maximum, and average prices directly within the PostgreSQL database. By employing advanced statistical methods, including standard deviation, I've integrated sophisticated logic to accurately identify and exclude outliers. This ensures that users receive the most reliable and precise market analysis available at every level of interest.
Additional Insights. How many cars are for sale, and for how long?
In addition to tracking price fluctuations, my site meticulously calculates the duration that cars have been listed for sale and identifies the various platforms they're advertised on. This feature allows users to understand market dynamics through metrics such as each site's minimum, maximum, and average listing price. By aggregating and analyzing this time-sensitive data, I provide users with comprehensive insights into not just how much a car is worth, but how its value changes over time and across different sales platforms.
User created garages. User accounts with an easy way to access favorite cars.
My site enhances the user experience with personalized accounts, allowing individuals to save specific cars or searches to their 'garage'. Within this personalized space, users can access a comprehensive price summary and view volumes of cars currently for sale, as well as historical data on cars tracked over time. This feature provides an in-depth view of market trends and individual car valuations, enabling users to make informed decisions and monitor potential investments closely.
